About these terms

These terms apply when you buy a workbook from shop.empowered-coaching.today.

Please read them before you buy. By placing an order, you agree to them. If you have any questions, email contact@empowered-coaching.today before you buy.

These terms are for consumers buying for personal use. If you're buying for a business, organisation or for use with clients, please contact us first.

What we sell

We sell downloadable workbooks in PDF format. Each product page explains what's included, how many pages it has, and which files you'll receive. We don't send any physical products. Our workbooks are written for adults. They draw on professional practice and published research, but every person is different, and we can't promise any particular result.

What you need to use the workbooks

  • A device that can open PDF files, such as a computer, tablet or phone
  • A free PDF reader, such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, if your device doesn't open PDFs already
  • For fillable versions: a PDF reader that saves form fields. Adobe Acrobat Reader works well. Some web browsers don't save what you type
  • A printer, if you'd like a paper copy

Please check you have these before you buy.

How your order works

When you click to pay, you're making an offer to buy. Our contract with you starts when your payment is confirmed and your download is made available. You'll receive a confirmation email with your order details and download link. The checkout is provided by Payhip. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and PayPal payments by PayPal. We never see or store your full card details.

Prices

Prices are shown in pounds sterling. Payhip works out and accounts for any VAT due on digital sales, based on where you live. The total you'll pay is shown at checkout before you confirm. We try hard to make sure prices are correct. If we discover a clear pricing error after you've paid, we'll contact you and give you the choice of paying the correct price or receiving a full refund.

We may change our prices at any time. A price change won't affect an order you've already paid for.

Delivery

Your download link appears on screen straight after payment and is also emailed to you. Please save your files somewhere you can find them again. If your email doesn't arrive within an hour, check your spam or junk folder. If it still isn't there, email us with the email address you used at checkout and we'll resend your link.

Your right to cancel

When you buy online, the law normally gives you 14 days to change your mind. For digital downloads, this right ends once your download is made available, but only if you've agreed to that. At checkout, you'll be asked to confirm that you want your download straight away, and that you understand you lose your right to cancel once it's available to you. Your confirmation email repeats this.

Full details are in our Refund and cancellation policy.

If something is wrong with your workbook

  • By law, your workbook must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If a file is faulty, won't open, is incomplete or doesn't match its description email: contact@empowered-coaching.today and tell us what's wrong
  • we'll repair or replace it free of charge, usually within two working days
  • if we can't fix it within a reasonable time, we'll give you a partial or full refund

These rights come from the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms affects them.

Your licence to use the workbook

When you buy a workbook, you're buying a licence to use it, not ownership of the content. The licence is personal to you and can't be transferred.

You can:

  • download and keep the files on your own devices
  • print copies for your own personal use
  • fill in the worksheets as often as you like
  • share your own completed worksheets with a counsellor, coach, doctor or other professional who is supporting you

You can't

  • share, forward, email or give the files to anyone else
  • post them online, including on websites, social media, file-sharing sites or group chats
  • resell, rent or give away the workbooks or any part of them
  • use them with clients, groups, classes or in training, or in any paid work
  • copy, adapt or translate them, or remove the copyright notices
  • upload them to AI tools, chatbots or datasets, or use them to train or develop AI systems

If you'd like to use a workbook professionally or with a group, email us. We may be able to offer a licence.

If you break these licence terms, your licence ends and you must delete your copies. We may also take legal action to protect our work.

Not therapy or medical advice

Our workbooks are self-help and educational resources. They're not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, coaching, medical care, diagnosis or treatment. Buying or using a workbook doesn't create a therapist-client or coach-client relationship with Emma Redman or Empowered Coaching and Consultancy Limited. Some exercises ask you to focus on your body, feelings or patterns. If an exercise feels overwhelming or unsafe, stop. Please don't use the workbooks to make decisions about medication, diagnosis or treatment.

If you need help now, call 999 in an emergency, NHS 111, or Samaritans free on 116 123, any time.

Our responsibility to you

We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable if it's obvious it will happen, or if we both knew it might happen when you placed your order.

We're not responsible for:

  • loss or damage that wasn't foreseeable
  • any business losses, including loss of profit or business opportunity, as the workbooks are for personal use
  • problems caused by your device, software or internet connection
  • how you choose to use the information in the workbooks

If digital content we supply damages your device or other digital content because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll repair the damage or pay you compensation.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Events outside our control

We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as a failure of Payhip, payment providers or internet services. If this happens, we'll let you know and do what we can to deliver your workbook as soon as possible, or refund you.

All workbooks and shop content are © Empowered Coaching and Consultancy Limited.

The Impulse Chain® is a UK registered trade mark, number UK00004407939. Nothing in these terms gives you any rights in our copyright or trade marks, other than the personal licence above.

We use your personal information as explained in our Privacy notice.

Other important terms

  • Changes to these terms. We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown when you place your order is the one that applies to it.
  • Transfer. We may transfer our rights under these terms to another organisation. We'll tell you if this happens, and it won't affect your rights.
  • Other people. This contract is between you and us. No one else has any rights to enforce it.
  • If part of these terms isn't valid. The rest of the terms still apply.
  • Delays in enforcing. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
