The Impulse Chain® Personal Edition: This Is Not a Willpower Problem
You said you'd stop at 9. It's midnight. Or you opened the wine before dinner, or bought the thing, or said yes again when you meant no. And afterwards, the same question: why do I keep doing this?
The Impulse Chain® helps you see what happens before the behaviour, so you're not relying on willpower alone.
It's for patterns that feel impulsive, compulsive, automatic or hard to step away from. That includes the obvious ones, like drinking, spending, scrolling or eating. And the ones that get praised, like overworking, over-exercising, keeping constantly busy, or helping everyone but yourself.
How it works
Four stages: Trigger, Body Signal, Story, Action. Once you can see your own chain, you can see where you might have more options next time.
You don't need a diagnosis, a label or a particular approach. You can use it on your own, or alongside therapy or coaching.
